Seminary: St. Augustine’s
Home Parish: Misión San Andrés, Silver Spring
My life before seminary
I was born and raised in El Salvador, and at age 17 I moved to the United States with the dream of helping my family financially. Through my work in customer service, I discovered the joy of serving others and developed important qualities such as patience, responsibility, and dedication.
What led me to the seminary
Even after achieving many personal and material goals, I felt a deep emptiness in my heart. My desire to grow closer to God and to give myself completely to Him inspired me to discern my vocation to the priesthood.
Other interests
I enjoy staying active through exercise and walking; reading, and spending time in quiet reflection. I also value meaningful conversations with others—learning from their wisdom and life experiences.
