Priesthood Class of 2020 (Catholic Standard):
His family's faith prepared Deacon James Morrison to serve his archdiocesan family of faith as a priest.
My life before the seminary:
I grew up as the eldest of seven siblings whose ages span a 20 year range. From third grade through high school, I was homeschool in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Upon graduation from high school at age 18 I was accepted to John Paul II Seminary.
What convinced me to enter the seminary:
I can remember being inspired by our parish priests as a child. My parents would frequently invite these men to our home for dinner and this allowed us to come to know them a personal way. When the question of discernment entered my mind in high school, the joy of these priests made the priesthood very attractive to me and began speaking to a priest in spiritual direction about the possibility entering seminary. This decision was further confirmed in my heart by visits to the Blessed Sacrament in Adoration.
